The kit that started it all.
This is the kit that started me on this unique art form. I wish I had thought to save a photo of the doll that got me so interested in this, but I didn't. I only had a link to his auction on Ebay, and he's long since sold, and the link is no longer valid. But let me assure you, he was beautiful. If you didn't know you were looking at a doll, you would have sworn that he was a real baby boy, even down to the anatomically correct torso. He was simply stunning.
Because of him, I started looking further into this art form called Reborning and discovered this kit, available at my local hobby store. I got it, and so it began. I'd like to take you on a pictorial journey of Zoe by Secrist, renamed Taylor by me.
Yes, I took TONS of pictures of this one, being the first one. I still consider it a work in progress, as she/he is not yet complete. I must admit, I rushed thru this one, because patience is NOT one of my virtues, only because I wanted to see what it looked like complete. I still need to add hair, some shine to the lips, and weight Taylor properly to feel like a real baby.
*UPDATE*
With the purchase of more supplies, paints, hair, etc, Taylor has been dismantled, so as to be worked on, and modified to look more lifelike. Some more skin-tone layers are being added, as well as mottling and veining. Stay tuned!
